Finally, the World Cup started! The women started at 11am (HOT!) and tore it up in the heat! That's Laura Bennett heading out for the first bike lap...she finished as the top American woman in 9th place!

People watching is lots of fun when you spot people you know! That's Yasmine and I...she's the top American junior from last year...she has been training with another group of American athletes south of Brisbane.
